Tempranillo is primarily grown on the Iberian Peninsula, where the Phoenicians introduced grapes from the Levant in the 9th century B.C. Today Tempranillo is the most widely planted grape in Spain. Fortunately for us, it also favors our own organic Acadia Vineyards, where tend 4 acres by hand. The 2018 vintage is one of our best yet, with crisp acidity, well-balanced but deep fruit notes, and a strong finish. This wine, while drinkable starting in 2022, will age nicely for years to come. The only downside we can see is we only made 75 cases.
